Looking For Gold: The Secret To MLM Prospecting

Network marketing prospecting is best defined by Webster’s dictionary. “Looking for Gold,” is how they define it. The precise wording is a little different, but the interpretation is basically the same. Prospecting for your MLM should not be any different.

Everyone is a prospect is what traditional methods have taught us. Stop for a minute, and think about this. The day you joined your MLM, you were asked to share your network marketing business opportunity with family, friends and anyone you could think of. Perhaps you even created lists of people to call, such as college friends or work associates from previous jobs. Possibly, you also found yourself speaking to strangers in an effort to present your business opportunity, or the product you were selling. You had assured yourself that the barista at Starbucks, the secretary at the dentist’s office, the postal carrier, the couple from down the street walking their dog, would be so attracted to your network marketing business, just as soon as you had an opportunity to share it with them. You believed adding as many people to your down line reflected success.

Some people think they already make too much money

Some people don’t have time to learn a new business

Some people “will have to pass,” because “they already make the right amount of money.”

“Everyone is your prospect” is just about as true as Elvis just drove by on a bicycle.

The point I’m trying to make is, hunting down trying to prospect every acquaintance is a waste of your valuable time. The realization is, you are also wasting their time as well.
